Boomerang Shackle

Description

The boomerang shackle solves one problem well: clearance. When a straight shackle hits the frame or crossmember, it limits your travel. This curved profile wraps around the obstacle and frees it back up.

When you need a boomerang shackle

Not every build needs one. So here’s the simple test: if your straight shackle contacts something at full stuff, the boomerang buys you room. Because the offset curve swings back and around, it clears obstacles a straight plate runs into. That usually means the rear crossmember, the frame itself, or aftermarket bumper and relocation brackets. When longer springs push a straight shackle into the frame mount, this shape keeps it off. It also keeps your shackle hanger and leaf pack from taking a hit at full compression.

Here’s the honest part. Since the holes match our straight shackle spacing, your suspension geometry stays the same. So you get the clearance, not a different ride.

Built from 3/8″ steel

We laser cut every plate in-house from 3/8″ steel. So you get a clean, consistent part that holds up to real trail abuse. The 9/16″ holes come ready to bolt in. Plus you can drill them larger if your build calls for it.

Sold in pairs

Each order includes one pair of boomerang shackle plates, so that’s two plates total. A single leaf spring uses one pair. That means a full axle with two springs needs two orders. You get the shackle plates only. You’ll add your own bolts and bushings.
